Albania-Netherlands agreement on combating international crime signed

 Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj and Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj signed with the Dutch Minister of Security and Justice Ferdinand Grapperhaus the document of cooperation in the fight against international crime.

Through this document (Letter of Intent), the parties confirmed the common interest in enhancing cooperation in the field of justice and security, especially a more effective fight against international crime.

Following the good cooperation relations currently, the Ministers agreed on the need of further communication growth and identification of new ways of institutional and operational cooperation.

Albania and the Netherlands will jointly address the challenges of organized crime and illegal migration through periodic expert meetings, joint analysis, exchange of knowledge and best expertise, and assignment of contact points for the exchange of information and police cooperation between the two countries.
