Today, at around 13 am at Favoriten, the 10th district of Vienna, a 67-year-old Albanan man has stabbed to death a 59-year-old woman on the street. According to police and witnesses, the victim was his former wife. It is about an Albanian couple from Kosovo, who for years lived separated.
Witnesses say they have tried to stop her husband but unsuccessfully, Austrian media writes. Likewise the rescue units tryed to resuscitate the woman but could not do anything except ascertaining her death.A witness who appears to be a victim's family member says she was killed by her ex-husband. He accompanied and then killed her.
The victim was about to go to the park with her grandchildren. "Who could have thought he was there," says the witness.
The 67-year-old has been detained by the police and his knife has been seized, the weapon with which he made the killing.
