Majlinda Kelmendi sold her gold medal to buy medicines for cancer-ill children

Majlinda Kelmendi, the winner of the Golden Medal at the Olympics, sold her medal to provide medicines for cancer-sick children.

"I wish every child to have a chance in life. For this reason I donated my number with which I won the Gold Medal at the Rio Olympics in Brazil. The sale of that number generated considerable incomes for the medicines of Kosovo children affected by cancer. That makes me proud," Majlinda Kelmendi said in the interview.

She is Ambassador of "Care for Kosova Kids" and has called for contributions for these children.

"The amount you donate will be doubled by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Kosovar children will get healed with your help," says Kelmendi.
