Police contolling the car

An Albanian is caught in Italy with cocaine. According to Italian media, a patrol of Laura's Guardia di Finanza has identified a suspected "Renault Megane Scenic" car in a vacation area along the A2 Mediterranean highway between the Lagonegro Sud and Lauria Nord intersections.

During control, the driver who was alone in the vehicle, a 42-year-old Albanian, at first, was quiet and cold, trying to give to police information about his journey.

However, he referred contradictory consecutive data, providing different versions of origin and destination.

After being not persuaded by the information given by the Albanian, police officers controlled the car where they found hidden 1 kg of cocaine.

The package containing cocaine, which was not distinct from a front view of the engine, was in a vacuum plastic wrap, cellophane paper and outside in a plastic bag.

The pack was lubricated with toothpaste.
These modalities are usually adopted to limit the possibility of detection by anti-drug dogs.

The cocaine caught in the first analysis showed a degree of purity of 80%.

Investigators believe that 5,000 doses of retail sales could be extracted by this amount of cocaine, with revenues between 50,000 and 60,000 euros.

The 42-year-old Albanian was arrested in flagrance and was sent to Potenza prison.
