School students in Belgium protest against the deportation of the Albanian family

The Gërxhaliu family risks expelling from Belgium after eight years, because the Belgian state thinks their documents are wrong.

"We are risking to be dumped in Kosovo by the state of Belgium, because we are told that our documents are not in order," said Bjondina, the biggest child of the Gërxhaliu family.

Bjondina studies in the department of Howest Management in Bryshit city. Her sister Blodiana is 17 years old. They also have a brother, who is only 13 years old.

The pupils of the school in which the Blediona attends organized a protest march at Leopold Park in Ostend. The protest was attended by 400 students, who marched with flags, banners and balloons against the expulsion from Belgium of their schoolmate.

"These people are like us. They do the same things as us, they go to school and work and make a living like us. They have friends here," said the leader of the protest, Blodian's friend.

"We are angry and we will worry if their expulsion plan is unfounded," she said.

This great support and this protest happened for the first time in the school in which Blodiana attends. She feels proud of the support of schoolmates and friends.

"I feel very proud and very grateful for this massive support from school students," said Blediona.
