Russia: Kosovo cannot create an army, is violated the international right

The spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova said that Kosovo authorities were trying to create a 'false case basis' for the establishment of Kosovo's armed forces.

Moscow considered as irresponsible the initiative to create the armed forces of Kosovo, adding that it is against existing agreements, writes Russian portal 'Sputnik'.

"We have paid special attention to the US ambassador in Pristina, Greg Delawie relating to Washington's support to the initiative for the creation of the armed forces of the Republic of Kosovo, provided that this should hapen through constitutional changes," said Zakharova, Kosovo media reports.

She added that Kosovo authorities have been trying to create a 'false case' basis to create army.

"The fact of crucial importance is that this action is a violation of international law and contrary to 1244 Resolution of the UN Security Council, predicting the presence of military forces in the region only on the basis of Security Council mandate, namely of KFOR composed mainly of NATO member states," Zakharova said./Oculus News
