Albanian tribes in Montenegro, rare map of 1839

The website konica.al publishes an interesting map of 1839 that the author himself is the ruler of Wassoevitch.

Recognizing in detail the Albanian tribes, he outlines the location of Kuçeve, Palabardhasve, Pipereve, Hoteve, Krasniq and Wassoevitch.

The aristocrat of the tribe of Wassoevitch, Nicholas, or as he called himself in French 'Prince des Wassoevitch', has left behind a mountiain of meditation about the border areas between Albania and Montenegro.

The fruit of his pen are interesting notes in French about the situation of Albanian tribes within the old Montenegro at the time of Prince Peter Njegus II (1830-1851).

The last four tribes, according to Nicholas notes, see their origin from a sole descender.

In the original the map holds the descriptive caption "Map of independent and combative tribes of Albania"./Oculus News
