Ohrid - boom of visitors at Historical and Archaelogical sites

The Historical and archaeological locations in Ohrid Lake are recording a boom of visitors, meanwhile no one approaches to the museum.

According to official data of the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments  the most visited location is the "Samuil Fortress" (Kalaja e Samoilit). From 2010 onwards this Fortress is visited by over 400 thousand visitors, Telegraph Macedonia reports.

Unfortunately to museum visits is rare, tourists pass without being introduced at all inside buildings. The Gallery of Ohrid in the museum complex at the church "Shën Bogorodica" is the greatest cultural wealth that Macedonia owns.

With the invitation for cooperation by the Ohrid Institute and Museum are attracted only 3 tourist agencies, which has also signed agreements. While local authorities in Ohrid say they will implement projects in Ohrid museums to attract as many they can local and foreign tourists.
