After 50 years, RTL, the German Television. restores the adventures of "Winnetou", one of the most successful products by the German cinema. Its creators, entrusted the main protagonist, "Winnetou", to Nick Xhelilaj, un Albanian actor by origin. The director Philip Stolzl considers him as an international star.
Kreshnik Xhelilaj is born in Tirana on March 5, 1983, better known by his stage name Nik Xhelilaj.
Filming started in Croatia. The film will be in three parts and adventures comprise classic German literature of young people. It is based on the book of Karl May, one of the most successful writers, with 200 million copies sold worldwide. Three heroes who still today are an inspiration for young people, will be interpreted by two stars of German cinema and the Albanian Nik Xhelilaj, an excellent and multidimentional character. While other protagonists of "Winnetou", will be performed by secondary actors of Hollywood. The world premiere of these three films, each on of 90 minutes, is supposed to be ready for the public in 2016 by RTL.
