Municipality of Tirana and the Ministry of Urban Development on Saturday signed a cooperation agreement, which aims at drawing up a new development plan that responds to the current territory of Tirana with 24 new administrative units.
The deal was signed by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj and Urban Development Minister, Englantina Gjermeni, who noted the importance for the capital to have a proper development plan, given that territory of Tirana Municipality is expanded.
Taking the floor during the signing ceremony, Tirana mayor said that a new era has come in relationships Municipality – Government , whose product will be drafting of the new development plan.
“It is a project having its proper schedule. We anticipate that within a year, Tirana will have a proper development plan, which will be the program for developing all parts of Tirana, Veliaj said.1L6A6224
He noted that during this period, illegal constructions in the city, planning’s violations or even an audit of permits granted by the municipality will be verified.
On her part, Minister of Urban Development, Englantina Gjermeni, stressed that the time has come to end the chaos in the development of the territory and urban development in Albania.
