Citizens who participated in protests against Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government in Albania claim they have received threatening text messages warning them that they were photographed during demonstrations and could face charges.

“You were photographed participating in today’s protest. You will be contacted tomorrow and informed of the charge for which you will be held responsible.”
The teachers have expressed concern over the warnings, saying they do not understand what violation they may have committed. They said they took part in support of young people and their own children, but fear possible consequences following the messages.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear who sent the messages or whether any formal charges will follow.
