A tragic car accident has shocked the Albanian community in Greece and families in Fier, Albania, after three Albanians were killed in the early hours of Thursday in Glyfada, Athens. Two other young men were seriously injured in the crash.

The impact was so severe that the vehicle was almost completely destroyed. Firefighters rushed to the scene, where eight officers using three vehicles and specialized equipment worked to free the people trapped inside the wreckage.
Three of the five occupants died from their injuries. Greek authorities initially identified the victims as a 23-year-old, a 26-year-old and another person whose identity had not yet been released at the time of the first reports.
The two survivors, both 18 years old, were taken to hospital. One remains in critical condition and is intubated, while the other suffered multiple injuries and remains under medical care.
Greek traffic police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash. Authorities are also examining security-camera footage from the area. At this stage, there are no reports that another vehicle was involved.
According to FieriWeb, all three victims were young men from Fier. The tragedy has deepened the grief of their families in Albania, while the two 18-year-old survivors continue to receive medical treatment following the devastating crash.
