22-year-old midfielder Brajan Gruda, of Albanian origin, has opted to represent Germany at the senior international level after being named in Jürgen Klopp's squad for the UEFA Nations League.
Germany are scheduled to face the Netherlands, as well as playing two matches against Greece and one against Serbia.

Gruda is currently on loan at RB Leipzig from Brighton and has long been regarded as one of the promising talents in German football.

The midfielder had previously been linked with a possible future with the Albania national team. However, according to recent reports, Gruda has decided to represent Germany.

The decision means the Albanian-descended talent has opted for Germany over the possibility of playing for Albania at senior international level.
