According to the Embassy, Kosovo’s filmmakers are using creativity, storytelling and their own perspectives to build international connections and strengthen the country’s cultural identity.
Cinema as Cultural Diplomacy
The Embassy highlighted Sarajevo’s importance as one of Southeast Europe’s leading film centers and an important platform for presenting Kosovo to regional and international audiences.
“Kosovo’s presence at the Sarajevo Film Festival is not only a presentation of our films, but also an affirmation of our cultural identity, creativity and openness to the region, Europe and the world.”
The event was organized by the Kosovo Cinematography Center with the support of Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and the Embassy of Kosovo in Croatia, which also covers Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through film and culture, Kosovo continues to present its history and identity with its own voice, promoting itself as a creative, European and internationally open country.
