The BMW Lost Control and Crashed Into a Concrete Barrier
The accident occurred at around 2:22 a.m. on a secondary road in Manzë. According to preliminary police information, the BMW carrying the five young people lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier before ending up in a roadside canal.
The impact was extremely severe, leaving the vehicle almost completely destroyed.
Emergency services and firefighters arrived at the scene and worked to remove the occupants from the wreckage. The two injured people were transported to hospital, while the bodies of the three victims were taken to the morgue.
The Group Was Returning From a Nightclub in Gjiri i Lalzit
New details indicate that the five young people had been returning from a nightclub in Gjiri i Lalzit, where they had gone to attend a performance by well-known Albanian rapper Cllevio.
According to preliminary information, Kleo Vrioni was driving the BMW when he lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the devastating crash.
The accident claimed the lives of Vrioni, 25, Brugnatelli, 26, and Muhaxhiri, 15.
Kleo Vrioni and Sara Brugnatelli Had Married Days Earlier
The tragedy has taken an even more devastating turn following reports that Kleo Vrioni and Sara Brugnatelli had married on Sunday, only days before the fatal accident.
The couple was reportedly spending their holidays in Albania when the accident occurred.
Two Injured, 16-Year-Old in Serious Condition
The condition of the two survivors is being closely monitored by doctors.
Sources from the Trauma Hospital indicate that 25-year-old Rejsi Vrijoni is out of danger.
The condition of 16-year-old Klevis Dervishi, however, is considerably more serious. He suffered multiple traumatic injuries affecting several parts of his body and remains under intensive medical observation.
Police Investigation Underway
An investigative team is continuing its work at the scene to document the circumstances of the crash and determine the exact causes that led the BMW to lose control.
Authorities are expected to examine the road conditions, the vehicle, the circumstances surrounding the driver's loss of control and other factors that may have contributed to the fatal accident.
The crash is one of the latest tragic road accidents involving young people in Albania and has left three families mourning the loss of their loved ones.
