Albania Parliament Protest: 3,000 Eggs Prepared by Activist Gent Progni, Questions Over Who Paid

TIRANA, Albania – Activist Gent Progni has shared a video on social media showing more than 3,000 eggs that he says will be distributed among protesters during the demonstration planned for tomorrow in front of the Albanian Parliament.

In the video, Progni states that there are “3 thousand and some eggs” available for participants of the protest, which is expected to begin in the morning hours outside the Assembly building.

However, in his public statement, Progni did not clarify who financed the purchase of the eggs or how the funds were collected to obtain such a large quantity. It remains unclear whether the eggs were purchased through individual contributions, support from activists, or another source.

The announcement has drawn attention ahead of the protest, as citizens wait to see how the gathering will unfold and what level of participation it will attract.

Authorities have not commented on the planned distribution of eggs, while organizers are expected to provide further details regarding the purpose and organization of the demonstration.
