The ship, registered under the Marshall Islands flag and measuring 181 meters in length, is returning to Durrës as part of its regular Mediterranean itinerary, which includes multiple coastal and cultural destinations across the region.
During their short stay, passengers are expected to explore Durrës and nearby tourist sites, with itineraries focused on historical landmarks, cultural heritage, and coastal attractions. Local tourism operators benefit from these brief but high-intensity visits, which concentrate spending into a single-day window.
With a series of cruise arrivals in recent days, the Port of Durrës has effectively entered its cruise season, reinforcing its role as one of the main maritime gateways for international tourism in Albania.
While cruise traffic is often highlighted as a sign of tourism growth, the real test remains whether these short stopovers translate into sustained economic impact for local businesses beyond seasonal peaks.
