A major police operation codenamed "Tjetërsimi" has uncovered an alleged criminal scheme involving the illegal transfer of property ownership in Dibër, northern Albania.
Following a seven-month investigation, Albanian authorities executed 14 security measures against current and former employees of the State Cadastre Agency (ASHK), along with several individuals suspected of benefiting from forged property documents.
According to investigators, the suspects are believed to have participated in the falsification of official documentation to unlawfully alter property ownership records, enabling the illegal acquisition of land.
Police also announced that several additional suspects, including a former director of the Dibër Cadastre Office and a notary public, have been declared wanted and are currently being sought by law enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to dismantle the alleged network and identify any additional individuals involved in the suspected property fraud scheme.
