 Chinese entrepreneur and renowned mountaineer Li Jianhong has reportedly died following a tragic road accident on the Librazhd–Elbasan highway in Albania. The incident has drawn international attention due to Li’s influential role in China’s tourism and business sectors.

Li Jianhong was widely recognized as the founder of Silkroad Mountain Resort, one of China’s largest ski destinations, and president of Xinjiang Grand Scape Group. His death marks the loss of a prominent business leader whose impact extended across tourism, telecommunications, and investment management.

Born in December 1965 in China’s Xinjiang region, Li began his professional journey after leaving a telecommunications institute in 1993 to pursue private business ventures. Over the years, he transformed Xinjiang Grand Scape Group into a diversified corporation with reported assets valued at approximately $205 million.

Under his leadership, Silkroad Mountain Resort became one of China’s most recognized winter tourism destinations. The resort gained national prominence after hosting major winter sports events, further strengthening Li’s reputation as a key figure in the development of China’s winter tourism industry.

Beyond his business achievements, Li Jianhong was also known internationally for his accomplishments in extreme sports and mountaineering. He successfully completed the prestigious Explorer’s Grand Slam challenge, a rare achievement that includes climbing the highest peaks on all seven continents and reaching both the North and South Poles.

 
One of his most notable personal milestones came at the age of 53, when he successfully climbed Mount Everest. His dedication to adventure, leadership, and innovation made him a respected figure both in business circles and the global mountaineering community.
