Albanian Teenager Dies in Fatal Car Crash in Monopoli, Italy

 A 19-year-old Albanian, Klevis Kalliu, tragically lost his life following a serious road accident in Monopoli late Sunday night.

According to Italian media reports, the crash happened at approximately 11:00 PM near Piazza Milite Ignoto, when a Mercedes-Benz carrying the young Albanian collided with a Toyota Auris. Initial reports indicate that Klevis Kalliu was seated in the rear of the Mercedes at the time of the impact.

The force of the collision reportedly caused the Mercedes driver to lose control of the vehicle, before crashing into several parked cars along the street. The Toyota involved in the collision also ended up mounted on top of a parked van, highlighting the severity of the accident.

Emergency medical teams, firefighters, and police arrived at the scene within minutes. Doctors fought to save the teenager’s life, administering first aid before transporting him urgently to San Giacomo Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Italian authorities confirmed that the female driver of the Toyota and another passenger traveling in the Mercedes suffered minor injuries. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.

The incident has deeply impacted both the Albanian community in Italy and residents in Monopoli, as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the collision.
