Albanian Embassy in London to Host Free Medical Consultation Session for Diaspora Community

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in the United Kingdom will organize another medical consultation session for the Albanian community living in Britain, continuing an initiative aimed at supporting migrants who face difficulties accessing healthcare services.

Three women and a man in civilian clothes are seen in a room where in the background there are Albanian elements, the Albanian flag, Skanderbeg riding a horse, etc.

The event is scheduled to take place on March 14, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the embassy’s premises in London. The open-door session is designed primarily for Albanian emigrants who have not yet registered with a General Practitioner (GP) in the UK or who experience communication barriers with British health services and wish to receive brief guidance from Albanian-speaking medical professionals.

Several distinguished healthcare specialists are expected to participate in the initiative, including Dr. Arben Rrokaj, a London-based general practitioner; Dr. Leonora Fisniku, neurologist and researcher at the University of Cambridge; Dr. Klodiana Nela, psychiatrist and lecturer at BSMS, KCL and North Kent Services; and Dr. Alisa Mekollari, physician associate in general practice.

According to the embassy’s announcement, the consultations will be informational in nature and will represent only the professional opinion of the participating doctors. The advice offered is intended to serve as orientation or as a second opinion for citizens seeking medical guidance.

Organizers emphasized that the consultations will not replace a full medical diagnosis or treatment and that, in some cases, further examinations or follow-up care may still be necessary.

The embassy also expressed special gratitude to the UK Albanian Medical Society (UKAMS), which is contributing to the initiative by engaging medical experts in support of the Albanian community across the United Kingdom.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen community support services for Albanians abroad, particularly in areas related to public health and access to essential healthcare information.
