Florind Rama has been arrested in Pereira, as Colombian media released footage showing the moment authorities detained the internationally wanted suspect.
According to reports, Rama was apprehended by local agents who informed him of the charges, while he reportedly stated he did not need a lawyer and requested to make a phone call to contact his family. Authorities confirmed that he had been wanted by Interpol since 2022 in connection with a criminal investigation involving kidnapping, torture, and murder in Marbella.
International investigators had reportedly been monitoring Rama due to suspicions that he used multiple identities and passports to evade capture. During the arrest, he allegedly attempted to present himself as a German citizen, but his identity had already been verified by law enforcement agencies.
