Belgian football club RSC Anderlecht has decided to terminate its cooperation with Albanian coach Besnik Hasi following a series of disappointing results in the Belgian Pro League.
In the last three league matches, Anderlecht recorded two defeats and one draw, a run of form that ultimately led the club’s management to take action.
“RSC Anderlecht has decided to end its agreement with head coach Besnik Hasi and thanks him for his work and dedication,” the club said in an official statement.
Following Hasi’s departure, Edward Still has been appointed as interim head coach, and will lead the first team until a new permanent manager is named.
Besnik Hasi is widely regarded as one of the most successful coaches from Kosovo, having built a strong reputation both domestically and abroad. Over the years, he has also been mentioned several times as a potential candidate for the position of head coach of the Albanian national team, although no official appointment has ever been made.
Anderlecht is expected to move quickly in its search for a new head coach as the club looks to stabilize results and remain competitive in the league.
