Vllaznia has secured a place in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League after a spectacular 4-2 away win against Latvian side BFC Daugavpils. The Albanian club delivered an impressive performance, with goals from Mensah, Yago, Dodaj, and Mala sealing the qualification.
The Shkodër-based team began the match with the following starting eleven: Qarri, Bajrami, Kuros, Gurishta, Jago, Krymi, Qato, Kruja, Dodaj, Mensah, and Balaj.
Mensah opened the scoring for Vllaznia in the 22nd minute, but the hosts quickly responded. Within just two minutes, Daugavpils turned the game around with goals from Wulliams and Diallo, taking a brief lead.
However, just before halftime, Yago leveled the score with a stunning long-range strike, bringing the match to 2-2 at the break.
In the second half, Vllaznia came out with renewed intensity. In the 74th minute, Kevin Dodaj completed the comeback by scoring the team’s third goal.
Esat Mala put the result beyond doubt in the 87th minute, sealing the victory and confirming Vllaznia’s progression to the next round of the competition.
In the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, Vllaznia will face the winner of the tie between FC Malisheva (Kosovo) and Víkingur Reykjavík (Iceland).
