A violent altercation between two hotel owners has shocked the popular tourist area of Ksamil, Albania, exposing a long-standing feud over beachfront control. The incident occurred around 12:45 PM at the premises of "Euro Hotel Ksamil", where the hotel’s owner, Albert Pashaj, was physically assaulted in front of his family, including young children.
According to reports, the attacker was identified as Agim Taraj, owner of “Sunset Restaurant Ksamil”. Eyewitness footage shows Pashaj with visible head injuries, while a family member can be heard confronting the attacker, saying, “You trash, look what you’ve done… you’ll see.”
The State Police responded quickly to the scene, arresting Taraj. In an official statement, authorities confirmed that “during a conflict over trivial motives, citizen A.P. was assaulted with hard objects. The suspected perpetrator A.T. has been taken into custody, and efforts are ongoing to identify and question others involved in the incident.”
The violent clash appears to be the continuation of a previous dispute between the same individuals. Just a month ago, another video captured Pashaj and Taraj physically attacking each other, only to be separated by bystanders. That confrontation also occurred near the beachfront, suggesting the root of the ongoing tension is control over the beach area in front of Pashaj’s hotel.
This latest incident not only raises concerns about safety in one of Albania’s most visited summer destinations but also sheds light on the broader issue of unregulated competition for access and ownership of prime coastal areas.
