Friendly matches against the Italian national team have become a regular tradition for Albania’s U-19 squad. Continuing this strong relationship, the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has officially confirmed two upcoming friendlies between Albania U-19 and Italy U-19 to take place in August 2025.
In coordination with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), both matches will be held in Novara, at the renowned “Novarello” Sports Center. The first match is scheduled for August 5 at 18:00, while the second will be played on August 7 at 11:00.
Led by head coach Julian Ahmataj, the Albanian team will begin preparations and gather for training at the start of August. These high-level friendlies will serve as valuable opportunities for both players and coaching staff to test strategies and fine-tune performance ahead of a crucial international campaign.
The matches are part of the team's preparation for the UEFA U-19 European Championship Qualifiers, with the first qualifying round set to take place in November in Albania. Albania has been drawn in Group 5, alongside Ukraine, Montenegro, and Slovakia.
These fixtures against Italy offer both a challenging test and a chance for young talents to showcase their abilities on an international stage, as the team builds momentum toward the qualifiers.
