Eurovision 2025: Albania Tops Fan Poll Ahead of Rehearsals in Basel

As official rehearsals for Eurovision 2025 approach in the Swiss city of Basel, contestants from 37 countries are entering the most crucial stage of preparations. It’s during this phase that performances are refined—performances that could ultimately shape the outcome of this year’s contest.

Eurovision 2025: Albania Tops Fan Poll Ahead of Rehearsals in Basel

Following the release of all competing songs in March, the well-known Eurovision fan portal Wiwibloggs conducted a large-scale poll, inviting the public to vote for their favorite to win. A total of 18,951 fans participated, reflecting strong global interest in this year’s competition.

The results show that Albania, represented by “Shkodra Elektronike,” is currently the favorite to win Eurovision 2025. Although the group had ranked second in a previous semi-final poll, a new wave of support has pushed them to the top in this broader vote.

Their song, “Zjerm”, received 2,106 votes, accounting for 11.11% of the total. Finland’s Erika Vikman secured second place with her song “ICH KOMME”, which delivers a bold message about sexual freedom. She earned 1,969 votes (10.39%).

In third place is the group KAJ, a Finnish trio representing Sweden this year with their song “Bara Bada Bastu”—an ode to Nordic life and the cultural love for saunas. Frequently mentioned among betting favorites, they received 1,620 votes (8.55%).
