The parade, held in the main square of Pristina, serves as the final event of Pride Week, aiming to celebrate and advocate for the rights and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in Kosovo.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the parade's role in challenging stigmatization. "If we believe in human rights, then we must discard prejudices. Some people are different, some people are very different, but we are all human and should be equal. Equality enables unity, prevents exclusion, and guarantees this right. Therefore, I participated in this parade because our independent state is a democratic republic that excludes no one and guarantees equality for all," Kurti stated.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Kurti is well-known for his left-wing views, which many analysts consider to be strongly influenced by communist ideologies.
