The decision was made by the Court of Lezhë upon the request of prosecutor Sabri Kastrati, who initiated investigations into a recent accident on the Lezhë-Laç axis, near the village of Gajush. According to sources, the accident involved James Doshi, the son of former deputy Tom Doshi, according to local media.

While driving, he collided with a vehicle carrying a married couple. Investigations have revealed that Doshi's son was at fault but was favored by the police, who failed to carry out actions in accordance with the law, allowing him to take the vehicle and leave.

In connection with this issue, the prosecution has launched a criminal proceeding for "abuse of duty." Besides the head of the Traffic Department, Ismet Sula, who was suspended from duty, the Prosecutor's Office is also investigating the leaders of the Lezhë Police to determine who ordered the failure to carry out actions in accordance with the law.

As part of this investigation, the prosecution is expected to examine phone records between the leaders and police officers to clarify their roles and actions in this matter. Subsequently, it will be decided whether the case will be transferred to SPAK jurisdiction or remain in Lezhë.
