 The folk culture of Salzburg (Salzburger Volks.kultur), together with the city of Salzburg, on June 18, 2023, held the "Festival of Peoples' Cultures" (Fest der Volkskulturen), as a symbol of peaceful and beneficial coexistence of the diverse population of the city of Salzburg.

 

At this festival, the Austrian-Albanian Association "Aleksandër Moissi," led by its chairwoman, Mrs. Lulavere Dasch, presented Albanian folk culture. The National Ensemble of Songs and Dances "Shota" captivated the audience, along with Albanian maestro Gazmend Freitag, who presented "10 Portraits of Albanians."

I had great pleasure being a participant in the "Festival of Peoples' Cultures" in Salzburg. Here, I presented 10 portraits of Albanian personalities from the spheres of literature, history, film, and art who have influenced my mind and development as a painter: Gjergj Kastrioti, Pjetër Bogdani, Alexander Moissi, Ibrahim Rugova, Esad Mekuli, Mother Teresa, Anton Çetta, Bekim Fehmiu, Nexhmije Pagarusha, Ali Podrimja.

I experienced the greatest joy during the encounter with the "Shota" Ensemble, who, with their traditional music and dance, got the entire audience moving. For a long moment, I had the feeling as if I were in my homeland in Kosovo, accompanied by good friends!.
