Albanian police rescued two Dutch tourists in Valbona, they were trapped in steep terrain with snow

 They were stranded in a very rugged and snowy area, between the Jezercë mountain and the Bjeshkë të Nemuna. The police intervened to help two Dutch tourists, Albanian Police reports.

The search lasted several hours, and assistance was provided by accompanying them on foot by the police services and later transporting them by a helicopter from the Ministry of Defense.

Around 12:15, the two Dutch tourists requested help at the operational room of the Tropojë Police Station, after getting stranded in the mountains while exploring the Valbona area, due to the rugged and snowy terrain.


Immediately after receiving the notification, the services of the Tropojë Police Station organized the operation and initiated the search to locate the tourists.

After several hours of searching by the police, the tourists were located in an area between the Jezercë mountain and the Bjeshkë të Nemuna.

They were accompanied on foot by police officers for several hours, in a very dangerous terrain, and once they reached an area where the helicopter could land, they were transported by a helicopter from the Ministry of Defense to the place where they were accommodated.

Both tourists are in good health condition. They thanked the police for the demonstrated compassion and immediate assistance.
