Ardit Fenaj is an Albanian doctor from Tepelena who is part of one of the most important biomedical institutions in the USA, "Johns Hopkins". In a Skype interview with Albanian media, he recounted all the adventures he went through to achieve this important accomplishment.

Among other things, Fenaj revealed that he applied for specialization more than 100 times before being accepted.

"After completing General Medicine in Albania, I moved to the USA to pursue further specialization in the field of medicine and worked in a dermatology clinic that focuses on skin cancer and its surgical removal. I worked there for a year and then I needed to enrich my CV, to become a better candidate for specialization, so I applied in the field of scientific research and was offered the position of coordinator of scientific research at Johns Hopkins."

It was not that simple, there were continuous applications, about 100 applications to Biomedical Institutions, and I was fortunate to be accepted here.

At first, you are required to take 2 exams before starting the specialization program and a third one which is optional and can be taken later. I took the first two and became certified as a doctor in the USA, but that does not allow me to practice as a clinical doctor because I have to register in a specialization program, which is also my goal," said the young man.
