Armando Broja, more precisely his celebration with the double-headed eagle, has become an issue in Serbia, where making the eagle, the national symbol of the Albanians, is interpreted as a symbol of Greater Albania.

Some media in Serbia have acted this week as if they had acted when the two Albanians who play for Switzerland, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, celebrated when they scored goals against Serbia in the World Cup in Russia, in 2018.

But this time the target of the Serbian media is the new owner of Southampton, the Serb Dragan Sollak. He was severely attacked and labeled as "enemy" of Serbia, because he applauded the celebration of Armando Broja after the goal scored against Brentford.

Sollak was present in the stands at Southampton's match with Brentford. When Broja scored and celebrated in his usual way, the club owner, Sollak, stood up and applauded the Albanian for the goal that helped the team achieve victory.

Serbian media accuses the Serbian tycoon that, with this action, as it is said in the title of the article, "he applauded for the symbol of Greater Albania" and thus "supported the insult of Serbia in England".

In the 49th minute, the 20-year-old Southampton striker scored for his team and ran on the field with his hands crossed, while very soon the owner of 'United Media' appeared on television, who greeted this unsportsmanlike celebration of young Broja with enthusiastic applause. Sollak greeted the symbol of Greater Albania!", Writes republika.rs".

Broja has chosen this way of celebrating to greet his compatriots after every goal he scores. This gesture of his has often been copied by his teammates in Southampton.
