The Assembly of Kosovo adopts the resolution on the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica

The Assembly of Kosovo has adopted a resolution calling for the punishment of the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica. At the moment of presenting this resolution, the group of deputies of the Serbian List has left the parliament hall.

During his speech, Prime Minister Kurti said that Serbia should be pressured by everyone and everywhere until it admits the crimes it has committed in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Croatia, apologizes and starts a process to punish criminals.

Mr. Kurti said the Srebrenica genocide was the largest massacre in Europe since World War II. He added that the government he leads is preparing a genocide lawsuit against Serbia.

Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister from the ranks of LDK, Avdullah Hoti stated that with the signing of the agreement in the White House, Kosovo has broken its international isolation and this agreement must be implemented by the current government.

The Srebrenica genocide took place in July 1995 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Serb army killed more than 8,000 Bosniaks. The International Court of Justice in The Hague has ruled that the Srebrenica massacre should be recognized as genocide.
