 Emanuel Salinas will be the new representative of the World Bank delegation in Albania.

The news is announced by the Bank of Albania, after a meeting held today between the Governor Mr. Gent Sejko and the representatives of the delegation, through a statement distributed to the media.

According to her, Mr. Selinas is expected to take office in Albania starting from July 1 this year.

He will succeed Maryam Salim, who is at the end of her 4-year term as Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Albania.

The Governor of the Central Bank, Gent Sejko, also made a presentation of the economic picture in the country focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic performance while emphasizing that the measures taken in a timely manner have contributed to maintaining financial stability.

The Bank of Albania claims that the WB representatives positively assessed the policy pursued in response to the situation created by COVID-19, as well as the contribution given to the reduction of non-performing loans.
