Narcotics trafficking Albania - Italy, 13 Albanians arrested

In the early hours of this morning in the provinces of Arezzo and Parma and of Italy and in Albania, the carabinieri of the provincial command of Arezzo, with the cooperation of those competent for the territory and the service for international police cooperation, have arrested 13 people accused of trafficking drugs (cocaine and marijuana).

The investigations were started by the Italian side in March 2018 and are coordinated by the Tuscan city prosecutor.

It is learned that the 13 arrested belong to four different Albanian criminal groups, who provided quantities of cocaine and marijuana and supplied distributors in Arezzo.

During the investigation, they identified some people who had become addicted to drug use, in the vast majority of cocaine cases, while it was discovered that about 3200 doses were sold, which brought a turnover worth about 200 thousand euros.

Italian media reported that further details will be revealed during a press conference to be held at 11 a.m. at the Arezzo Carabinieri provincial command.
