Lorik Cana wanted in Switzerland, Lausanne club offers him the position of sports director

Former captain of the Albanian national team, Lorik Cana, who is already retired, has received an offer from the Swiss club of Lausanne to be its sports director, according to the newspaper Le Matin.

Lozana is without a sporting director after Pablo Iglesias left and the club is aiming to create a strong base starting from the ages with the scouts.

Lorik Cana has been retired for several years after retiring from football and has not tried another adventure since.

Le Matin:

Many of them, supporters of LS, regretted what seemed like a loss of local identity, when we learned of the departures last week from Pablo Iglesias, sports director, from Léonard Thurre, responsible for scouting, and even, it seems, of the intendant Bernard Rohrbach. They may be a little reassured by the track which is heating up at the moment, for a potential new recruit to the position of sports director or general manager. The name Lorik Cana has, in fact, just come out of the ranks.

The potential future of the strong man of the new La Tuilière stadium is already working behind the scenes to build the Lausanne-Sport of tomorrow, the one that will take possession of its new premises, probably in the Super League. The former midfielder is an old acquaintance of Julien Fournier, football manager of OGC Nice, also owned by Ineos. In the late 2000s, Cana defended the colors of Olympique de Marseille, of which Fournier was then the secretary-general of the late President Pape Diouf.
