57 new cases of COVID-19 in Albania, 33 victims in Kosovo

 During the last 24 hours, 362 tests have been performed to suspected people and new cases have been registered in Tirana, Kruja, Vlora, Shkodra, Lushnja, Puka, Durres and Fier, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has announced.

According to health institutions, 5 people have recovered, increasing the number of recovering since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,044 and 36 people have died. Currently, 441 people are active with COVID-19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, and Kruja.

"The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again requires awareness from businesses and citizens themselves to be careful in implementing measures of physical distance and personal hygiene," said the ministry.

So far, a total of 20,494 tests have been performed in Albania and according to health institutions, the work of epidemiologists in the field continues to track cases.

Due to COVID-19 in Albania, the state of natural disaster continues, which is in force until June 23.

While in the report of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases in Kosovo it is said that on Sunday a 76-year-old patient from the Municipality of Prizren passed away, who was admitted to the clinic on June 7, which in addition to COVID-19 had other diseases.

Currently, 40 people with COVID-19 have been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic, of which 27 are in stable condition, 12 are being treated with oxygen and intensive care, while one patient in the respiratory tract is in critical condition.

According to the latest data from the National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo, 53 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Saturday while 7 patients were cured.

The total number of people affected by COVID-19 is 1,437, of whom 928 have recovered and 33 have died.
