Since the abolition of the tax rate of 100 percent on Serbian products by the Government of Kosovo in office and the imposition of a reciprocity measure have been imported goods worth of 12.4 million euros from Serbia from April 1 to April 26 this year, while the imports of raw materials reached the value of 3.5 million euros", the Ministry of Finance and Transfers announced in a press release in its summary report on the implementation of reciprocity measures.

As stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Finance and Transfers, “in all cases where any provocative labeling or denomination has been observed, the goods have been returned to Serbia and have not been allowed to be imported and cleared through customs in Kosovo. During this period, such a case was identified and the truck with the goods was sent back to Serbia".

From the import of these goods, according to the Kosovo Customs, have been collecting taxes in the amount of over 1 million euros.

Meanwhile, goods worth 0.7m euros have been exported from Kosovo to Serbia.

The Ministry of Finance and Transfers in its communiqué also emphasized the challenges in implementing reciprocity measures.

"During April 21 and 22, the Serbian side sporadically did not allowed the passage of trucks with goods from Kosovo to Serbia or even the empty ones through the PKK in Merdare, Jarinje and Brnjak. After the reaction of the relevant government instances to the EU, these measures have been withdrawn by the Serbian side and there are no reports of their recurrence", it was said in the communiqué of this ministry.
