Oculus News sources discovered the arrested are Altin Bogdani, 35, from Tirana, Inspector of field verifications at the General Directorate of IKMT Tirana and Vasillaq Vito, 43, from Saranda.

Bogdani is accused of taking bribes of 5,000 euros and 350,000 leks from Vito, in order not to destroy a part of a building in Ksamil, owned by the 43-year-old.

During the control exercised on Bogdan, 5000 euros, 350 000 lek, 3 mobile phones, and an amount of 1.56 grams of cannabis were found.

Abuses of construction near the coast have been an important topic during the 30 years of democracy in Albania. In a good part near the Albanian coast, buildings have been built without a proper study, but apparently with corruption.

Of course, this type of abuse affects negatively a number of elements that hinder sustainable development.
