The number of infected with COVID-19 increased in Albania and Northern Macedonia
 
 In the last 24 hours, the Albanian Institute of Public Health, in cooperation with the epidemiologists of the Local Health Care Units has continued the work in terrain, identifying cases and tracing contacts of cases already confirmed with Covid-19.

27 suspected individuals, citizens and health personnel were tested, of which 4 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. To date 532 suspected cases have been tested in Albania and 42 cases have been confirmed positive with COVID-19, in the cities:

Tirana: 26 cases

Durres: 5 cases (one of which died)

Lushnje: 2 case

Elbasan: 2 cases

Fier: 5 cases

Rrogozhona: 2 cases

Of them:

17 are hospitalized in the Infectious Hospital (from Tirana, Durres, Fier, Lushja and Rrogozhina).

Three of them are in intensive care, a 66-year-old from Lushnja and a 61-year-old from Fier and a 50-year-old from Tirana.

While the rest of the pavilions are in stable condition until this moment.

While in North Macedonia, six new cases of coronavirus have been registered, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 18.

Health Minister Venko Filipce, who heads the crisis group, said the infected are returnees from high-risk countries.

Of the total of 12 people tested, 6 came out with positive results.

Minister Filipce also announced other measures taken by the Crisis Government Body: all border crossings except Bogorodica with Greece, Qafe Thana with Albania, Tabanoc with Serbia and Blace with Kosovo were closed. The airport in Ohrid has also been closed. Access to North Macedonia is prohibited to all persons coming from high and medium risk states. In addition to markets and pharmacies, all other shops, sports betting, nightclubs and more are closed.

Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski has announced the decision to cancel all political activities.

The National Security Council, led by President Stevo Pendarovski, will also meet on Monday to discuss the situation with the coronavirus.
