Former Albanian Prosecutor Agron Matjani found dead in Prizren, police suspect he has been murdered

 Former Prosecutor of the Prizren Basic Prosecution Agron Matjani has been found dead in his apartment in one of Prizren's neighborhoods at around 9:30 this morning.

Prizren regional police spokesman Shaban Osmanollaj confirmed that authorities have responded to the case of suspicious death and that expert teams are on the ground.

Whereas the Basic Prosecution in Prizren confirmed that it is about the former prosecutor and that the case was reported by his family members.

"Upon receipt of the news, the guardian prosecutor along with the relevant police units came to the scene and the case was initiated as 'suspicious death'," the prosecution said in a statement. By order of the prosecutor, the victim's body will be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina.
