Tirana basketballer Bruno Daliu punches furiously the referee because of a faul

The Discipline Commission of the Albanian Basketball Federation has made the decision to permanently exclude Bruno Daliu from all basketball activities.

The 34-year-old has barbarously beat the referee Jurgen Muho in the Teuta-Shkb Tirana match, valid for week 7 of the Albanian championship.

In the fourth period, the referee Muho gave a faul to the Tirana basketball player Ledio Brari and the game stopped. This foul was opposed by Daliu, who reacted with insults to the referee, who subsequently made the decision to give a technical fault to him.

At that moment, the 34-year-old "bursts" at the referee by punching and kicking him continually. It took the intervention of other basketball players to prevent his fury.

This behavior is intolerable in sports venues and even more so by an experienced basketball player like Daliu.

"Based on the Article 14.25 the Disciplinary Committee has made a decision to permanently exclude Bruno Daliu from all activities. Also according to Article 14.22 of the regulation of the basketball player of Tirana has been fined also with 150 thousand leks.

"Daliu has five days to appeal this decision. Meanwhile, the commission has drawn attention to the ICS Tirana club to prevent such actions from ever happening again. The decision of the Disciplinary Committee is an administrative act and has a legal effect on the parties," reads the announcement of the AFF.

Bruno Daliu, was arrested by the Police of Durres on charges of "Hitting a sportsman, coach, referee and sports mediator". By law, he faces between 1 and 5 years in prison.
