The Academy of Albanological Studies in collaboration with the Monsignor Lucjan Avgustini Foundation, through the personalities of the Albanian letters, brought to the attention once again after three centuries the valuable contribution of one of the clergymen whose national identity, besides the religious one, was at the center of life and activity as a priest and Albanian.

With his extraordinary ecclesiastical, patriotic, and political activity for many years, as leader of the liberation uprising of 1689, and with his theological masterpiece "Cuneus Prophetarum", or as translated by the great Franciscan Father Justin Rrota - "The Prophet's Toge", the Albanian Bishop Pjeter Bogdani is considered a cultivator and illuminator of Albanian consciousness and an early precursor of the National Renaissance movement.
