Alvin Berisha case: Albania's President Meta dismisses the ambassador Gent Gazheli

 Gent Gazheli
The Albanian President Ilir Meta has announced the dismissal of the Ambassador Gent Gazheli from the post of Albania's ambassador to Turkey. Gazheli's dismissal comes after his dismissal from the Foreign Ministry.

There were many who demanded Gaza's dismissal following his reaction to the case of Alvin Berisha, the 11-year-old who was staying in Syria's Al-Hol camp.

Gazheli was also strongly criticized for his arrogant attitude by the Italian investigative show, Le Iene, who made it possible for Alvin to be found and pressured the former Ambassador Gazheli to get involved for Alvin to return to his home. The ambassador had promised to the Italian journalists that he would not leave Alvin in the Syrian camps, but in the end, did not answer their calls.

Immediately after Gent Gazheli's dismissal, the President of the Republic decreed Albania's new ambassador to Turkey, Kastriot Robo.
