French Ambassador to Skopje Christian Thimonier: Thimonier: We support North Macedonia on the road to the EU

 French Ambassador to Skopje Christian Thimonier.

 North Macedonia must work hard on realizing reforms in the justice system so that in October may expect the date for launching EU membership talks, told to Radio Free Europe the Ambassador of France in Skopje, Christian Thimonier.

Thimonier emphasized that France is not the one that limits the timing of the start of the talks. According to him, this decision depends largely on the implementation of reforms in practice by North Macedonia, especially the implementation of laws related to the rule of law, including the legal definition of the Special Public Prosecutor's Office, in order for this institution to continue investigations regarding the corruptive cases.

"I Really tell you we are on your side on that road. It is the first chapter from my ambassadorial instructions, to work on the approach of the country to the European integration. We do not know how long that path will last, and the path is not simple at all, but on this issue, I will say that we are determined to help and facilitate that path and just have to determine what is the balance from the agendas that were defined," the Ambassador Thimonier said.
