 The Wiesbaden Bureau of Statistics estimates that about 1.185.000 foreigners went in Germany in 2018, which is a plus of 416,000 compared to the previous year. At the time of increased human movement, Germany has marked a positive annual balance from 2010 to date.

The largest number of people going to Germany was marked at the time of massive arrival of refugees in 2015, by about 1.5 million. Then the number of new arrivals has fallen, as DW reports.

Meanwhile, about 262,000 German citizens left Germany according to statistics. But about 924,000 foreign nationals have also left Germany last year.

If all income figures with German and foreign citizens are counted, during the last year, 1,384,000 people have been settled in Germany. 87% of them have a foreign passport, the Office for Statistics said. Among the countries with the largest number of persons coming from outside the European Union are Albania (about 8,000), Kosovo with 12,000 and Turkey with about 16,000 people. But the highest figures of movements are, however, the EU and Asian countries.

During the past year, 202,000 peoplewent to Germany with the citizenship of an EU member state. Most from Romania (68,000), Croatia (29,000) and Bulgaria (27,000). While about 118,000 people Azia last year. From other European countries (outside the EU) about 85,000, from Africa 34,000.
