Adnan Dibrani, born in Kosovo and arriving as a refugee in Sweden in 1992 is running for a deputy in the European Parliament. He is a member of the Swedish Parliament of the Social Democrats. Dibrani was elected to the Swedish parliament in 2014, where he represents the electoral district of Halland.
Dibrani is a trained economist and has worked as a bank employee. He is engaged in politics with the issues related to small business, patient safety, LSS and tax system.During 2010-2014, Adnan Dibrani was responsible for the questions about CSN and student health for the Social Democrats. He is a member of the CSN Inspection Board and the Inspection Board of the Swedish National Audit Office.

His candidacy was also welcomed by Socialist MP Ervin Bushati, who expressed the pride of all Albanians who are part and competing in European politics both at the local, national and ultimately European level.
"2019 will be the year when Albanians will be part of the European Parliament," he said, referring to Adnan Dibrani's case as another case of the Albanian success.
