Kosovo and Albanian wines, cheeses, water and chocolates promoted in New York

  In New York are promoted wines, cheeses, water and chocolates produced in Kosovo.

Under the auspices of the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York and American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo and the Association of Regional Development Agencies (ARDA) in New York have been promoted wines, cheeses, water and chocolate produced in Kosovo.

At the end of the year in which were invited ambassadors accredited to the United Nations, representatives of the Albanian diaspora, representatives of American businesses and the United States Ambassador to the United Nations.

During her speech, she said that the United States of America will work to recognize Kosovo as a member of the United Nations, because Kosovo and the United States respect each other, believe in one another and have the same democratic values, adding that this kind of connection can not be interrupted. Speaking of the challenges that all states have at certain moments, she also mentioned the fact that Kosovo has helped the United States during the recent storm that struck Texas.

Kosovo General Consulate, Tetuta Sahatqija said that the end of year holidays are good opportunities for promoting Kosovo wines and other products. She thanked for her presence especially the US Ambassador Nikki Haley, for whom she said she is a major supporter of Kosovo in the United Nations Security Council. She also thanked the American Chamber of Commerce for the initiative and behavior of Kosovar products in the US, while mentioning that the wine produced in Kosovo is the first wine ever brought to the UN Security Council roundtables thanks to the ambassador of Japan.

On the other hand, Executive Director of the American Chamber, Arian Zeka said that Kosovo besides producing good wine has already created a good business environment, making it more attractive for foreign investors . And this, according to him, is confirmed in the World Bank's Doing Business Report, where Kosovo is ranked in the 40th place out of 190 countries around the world.

In this reception organized in New York, 36 different types of wines were promoted by six Kosovo wine producers, StoneCastle, Bodrumi i Vjeter, AgroKosova, Eko, Kosovo Wine and Sefa Wine, Cheese producers from Rugova, Sharri and Magic Ice, water of Rugove producers, as well as Amel Chocolates.
