Ministry of Energy and Industry of Albania held in Tirana the forum "leading projects and new models of management of strategic sectors Albania-Kosovo".
This forum is atendet by senior officials of both countries, as Blerand Stavileci, Minister of Economic and Development of Kosovo, Minister of Energy and Industry of Albania, Damian Gjiknuri, representatives of business associations, foreign diplomat, etc.
Gjiknuri in his speech said that the project for interconnection between Albania and Kosovo is important for Albania."The Southern Corridor is a project about energy security. It is a European project. The Southern Corridor is a new opportunity for Albania. Kosovo will not be left out of regional development and will be part of the Southern Corridor. We have done a feasibility study and the Albania-Kosovo corridor is a project for investment security," said Gjiknuri in his speech.
The Minister also said that now the energy sector is progressing safely and stressed that the Government is keen for more investment.
Meanwhile we remind that between the two governments is scheduled a joint meeting in early June, is expected to discussed the implementation of the agreement signed last joint meeting on the progress of projects and strategic joint ventures.
